We are delighted to be supporting Defence Information 2017 at Shrivenham this week. It is the major annual communications event of Joint Information Group activities (the JIG reports to the Defence Suppliers Forum) and the Event’s content spans both Information and Support.
The DI’17 Event examines some of the ‘people, process and technology’ issues critical to Team Defence being able to adopt, embed and exploit new (and often disruptive) Information and Communications Technology (ICT) capabilities and associated new ways of working – to productive effect. This sits at the heart of BAR’s approach to supporting the UK Defence and Security community.
The two days include keynote presentations, panels where the audience question and contribute to the debate, choices of workshops which delve into ‘Delivery’ using case studies and experiences from recent JIG projects, a Good Practice Market Place where defence teams share their experiences on innovative and collaborative Team Defence projects, trade stands where suppliers demonstrate innovative applications and opportunities for networking with peers both from MOD and Industry.
We are also delighted that 2 companies supported by BAR have been nominated for the Excellence Award final which will be awarded at the event. BAR have been supporting Krowdthink with their business strategy as they move towards entering the market with an innovative digital engagement platform; Telaugos solutions have been a BAR partner for several years where their business modelling applications have been integrated into the BAR A3M toolset to offer clients visualisation of their planned startegies. Both exciting companies have also been working with a team BAR have assembled, supported by UKCeB, to explore innovation opportunity within the Enduring Challenges opened by the Defence and Security Accelerator. More on that one soon!
