BAR Associates are pleased to be able to expand their reach through establishing a presence in the US. With an increased focus on UK-US bilateral collaboration on defence and security innovation and the associated strategic market growth opportunity for specialist technology businesses, this expansion will enable us to improve reach and access to both user communities and innovation programmes.
BAR Associate Richard Thurston will lead the US activity. Commenting on the exciting plans ahead Richard said “Working with BAR enables US and UK technology innovators to expand their reach and benefit from working with a highly experienced team who can identify and facilitate market opportunities across the ‘Pond’ and into mainland Europe”.
The first projects already under way – seeking IP transfer for UK security technology CobWeb; and supporting US company Kinnami with the opportunity to leverage their USAF work into the UKMOD innovation hubs.
This BAR initiative is off to a flying start with much more to come.
